**In brief:** The Fédération française de tennis (FFT) was granted delegation of pickleball by the Ministry of Sports on January 2, 2026. It's now responsible for organizing the sport in France. Sanctioning a pickleball tournament costs €32, whatever the level. The request goes through the ADOC app. A JAT1, JAT2 or JAT3 referee must be present throughout the tournament. The FFT has about 7,000 clubs. Pickleball fits easily onto the tennis courts they already have, which makes it easier to roll out.
